My Experience

  • During the 2025 year I have had the honor to serve as the Chi Omega Community Service Director. In this position I am uncharge of educating and creating community service opportunities for over 180 women. I have communicated with non-profits the Lane County area and across the United States to create philanthropic events in support of their various causes. My role also requires me to create deadlines and help facilitate events with our Make-a-Wish Co-Chairs and External Philanthropy Chair. In just one ten week period I was able to facilitate 1,046 hours of service within my chapter. I have learned so much about managing different groups of people and communicating with superiors and advisors, both within my sorority and from various non-profit executive boards. This position has given me leadership, management, and event planning experience that I will carry into all of my future roles.

  • I held this position for the entirety of the 2024 year. In this role I acted as the liaison between the Lillian Pagenstecher Foundation and the Chi Omega Psi Alpha chapter. My duties included educating the members on the scholarship, fundraising money, and staying in communication with my advisors and the foundation. I raised $1,100.00 for foundation through various events.

  • Julie’s Purse Project is a nonprofit that provides essential items to children and women who have been affected by domestic violence. While working with this company I created a club at my school that fundraised for the cause, hosted donation drives, and did packaging and delivering events with the donated items. I also assisted with posting and updating their Instagram.
